Here are some standout stories from our partners at OnRobot

Dutch Distillery Automates Palletizing - Up and Running Within One Day
Schrobbelèr B.V., a Dutch distillery known for its herbal liquor since 1973, sought to automate its manual palletizing process to enhance efficiency and reduce physical strain on workers handling 11 kg boxes. They collaborated with Just Automate, an automation integrator and OnRobot partner, to implement the MoveComponents® palletizing system, powered by OnRobot's D:PLOY platform. This off-the-shelf solution was installed seamlessly within a single day during active production, without any disruptions. The system's user-friendly interface allowed Schrobbelèr's team, even those without technical backgrounds, to manage various bottle sizes and palletizing patterns independently, showcasing the flexibility and efficiency of the D:PLOY-powered solution.

Modernizing Idaho Agriculture
Magic Valley Produce, a family-owned potato farm and fresh pack facility in Idaho, faced significant challenges due to labor shortages, limited floor space, and the handling of heavy, two-piece cardboard boxes weighing 52.5 pounds. To address these issues, they collaborated with automation integrator WeAssistBots to implement a collaborative robotic palletizing system. This innovative solution utilized a FANUC CR-35iB cobot equipped with dual OnRobot 2FGP20 electric finger grippers, effectively managing the unique packaging and weight constraints. The system not only alleviated labor shortages but also optimized space and enhanced efficiency in their palletizing process.

Automated Food Packaging with RG6 Grippers
Plus Pack, a leading food packaging manufacturer, implemented OnRobot's RG6 grippers to automate their packaging processes. This automation reduced physical strain on employees by eliminating repetitive heavy lifting tasks. The RG6 grippers' adaptability allowed for quick adjustments to accommodate various products, enhancing flexibility and productivity. The implementation was efficient, with programming completed in a few days and full integration into the packaging line achieved in just 30 minutes.

Automation at Designed Mouldings
Designed Mouldings, an Australian injection moulding specialist, sought to enhance productivity amid increased demand during the Covid-19 pandemic. To address the time-consuming manual insertion of wads into plastic caps, they implemented the OnRobot VGC10 electric vacuum gripper integrated with a Techman collaborative robot. This automation reduced cycle times, achieving a 20,000-product run in 24 hours—three times faster than manual methods—and decreased material waste by 1-2%. Employees were relieved from repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on higher-value activities. The company anticipates a return on investment within six months and plans to further automate processes, including assembling hospital filters using the OnRobot RG2 gripper.

Solving Labor Shortages in Palletizing
Sano-Bruno's Enterprises Ltd, facing labor shortages and space constraints in their palletizing operations, collaborated with Assatec Robotics to implement a compact and efficient automation solution. The system integrated a FANUC CRX collaborative robot equipped with OnRobot's 2FGP20 electric gripper and Lift100 elevator. This setup effectively handled 11 different box types, thanks to the gripper's 260 mm stroke, and built pallets up to 1.9 meters high. The fully electric design ensured cost-effectiveness and a small footprint, allowing seamless integration into existing production lines. The implementation was swift, with a return on investment achieved in less than 1.5 years, enhancing efficiency and addressing workforce challenges.
